Description
Around 1895 the recently incorporated United States Playing Card Company began creating exciting new brands featuring different, or non-standard, court cards in order to celebrate their new beginning and to keep up with the increasingly competitive market. “New Era No.46” was the first of these colorful new decks, based around European fashions with an Art Nouveau flavor, and was soon followed by “ Circus No.47 ”, “ Hustling Joe No.61 ” and “ Ye Witches No.62 ”. These titles were listed in catalogues for a few years but today they have become very scarce to find. You are bidding on an ultra rare New Era No.46 Playing cards deck from 1896 by USPCC. This deck is obviously very scarce and has the following details. Please look at the pics and requests additional pics if you need. The deck is sold as is of course so please serious bidders only as there is no returns. This deck is in an amazing condition considering it is over 125 years old. It does not appeared to have been used much as you can see by the condition of the cards. I have only handle them once and that was for the pictures for this listing. In general you have no staining and the cards are amazingly white Deck does not have a tuck nor does it have a Joker Ace of Spades has a minor rip on the top of the card Jack of Spades has a little stain and crease
